Looavul, Luhvul, Louville, Looaville, and Looeyville are among the many pronunciations you will hear from the folks here in Louisville, Kentucky.
Born and raised and I cain’t complain.. Known for the Kentucky Derby and the Louisville Slugger, we certainly have our claim to fame. You definitely won’t think that our city is lame.. I once met a girl named Mary Jane? haha
But seriously folks, we invite you to come and visit our city. There is so much to do around these parts that you certainly will never become listless. Here are a few things that you won’t be able to enjoy when you are so far off in the distance:
- Churchill Downs (home of the greatest two minutes in sports)
- 4th Street Live (comedy clubs, hooker joints, and a Hard Rock Cafe)
- The several museums we have around town (Louisville Slugger and Kentucky Derby Museum to name a few)
- And my personal favorites are the supposedly many haunted buildings and creepy sites we have around (The world famous Waverly Hospital, abandoned Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, and the ever so chilling Eastern Cemetery muahahaha)
Just do yourself a favor.. Watch out for the obnoxious University of Kentucky fans
